What was involved?
Peter built a six bedroom, timber framed house for us in Donaghmede.

How did you choose Swords Building Contractors Ltd?
Word of mouth, friends of mine recommended Peter to me. I also had a chance to see firsthand some work Peter had done previously and I was happy to choose him. We had spoken to a couple of other builders but I chose Peter based on the recommendation and having seen his work.

Had you definite ideas in mind before you talked to Peter Ashmore?
We did yes, a lot of the design had already been done through an architect.

Did Peter introduce new ideas?
Peter did come up with some ideas, especially with regards to finishes and such. We took those suggestions on board and they turned out very well.

How did the project run?
I would give Peter ten out of ten for reliability, workmanship and scheduling. He was very good.

What was the biggest benefit to you of using Swords Building Contractors Ltd?
The biggest benefit was in having someone like Peter manage the project from start to finish. Peter was very proactive in helping us to make decisions and he met all of his deadlines.

What's your favourite part now?
I'm really pleased with the way that the extension comes out the back of the house and into the garden, it links the two together very nicely. I'm also very pleased with how the extension was finished in brickwork and how it looks.

Would you recommend Swords Building Contractors Ltd to others?
Definitely, yes and I have done. I would highly recommend Peter to anyone for any size of project big or small. I know Peter's done some smaller scale work for friends of mine and he treated those jobs with the same level of care that he does with larger projects. I can't sing his praises highly enough.

Any tips for other people?
Make sure you go and visit previous work that has been done and speak to the customers away from the builder. I would also recommend not basing your decision solely on price.
