When was the work done?
The work started on the 19th of January this year and it was completed within five weeks. What was involved?
A single story kitchen extension with an apex roof at the back of the house.
How did you choose Swords Building Contractors?
I saw the company on pickapro and contacted Peter. He gave us a competitive quote and I went to see two of his previous jobs. Both were done on houses in my estate and it gave me a good idea of the quality of work.
Apart from high quality finish, the main reason I chose Swords Building Contractors was because one of his previous clients had an issue a year after their extension was built and Peter returned and sorted the matter without hesitation. This was very important to me.
Had you definite ideas in mind before you talked to Peter Ashmore?
Yes I knew what I wanted.
Did Peter introduce new ideas?
Peter gave me good advice on the ideas that I had. He also gave me alternative suggestions that I would not have thought of.
How did the project run?
The project finished earlier than scheduled. Including some extra jobs that we asked for near the end. There was very clear communication and Peter was always on site or contactable by phone. Peter and his team were here every day and are hard workers. They cleared up as they went along and on completion of the work.
What was the biggest benefit to you of using Swords Building Contractors?
Peter was very easy to deal with. I found that he didn't blindly agree with everything I said I wanted. He gave me advice and suggestions along the way which I appreciated.
What's your favourite part now?
I love the windows. They're a real wow factor.
Would you recommend Swords Building Contractors to others?
Absolutely. I wouldn't hesitate in recommending them.
Any tips for other people?
Don't just go with a builder who will agree to build whatever you want. You need guidance and advice from someone in the industry who understands the ramifications of your choices.
